Gov. Culver: Iowa schedule released for Monday's visit by President's drug policy director

White House Office of National Drug Control Policy Director R. Gil Kerlikowske is scheduled to participate with Iowa officials in Des Moines meetings next Monday, November 2, to gather input for the 2010 National Drug Control Strategy, due to be released early next year.

Due to limited time and space, participant attendance is by invitation only. Credentialed members of the news media are welcome at the following events.

8:30-10:00 a.m. @ Iowa Capitol, East 9th & Grand Avenue, Room 103

Roundtable with substance abuse prevention and treatment providers, law enforcement officials, other criminal justice professionals, public health/medical professionals, public officials and others.

10:00-10:30 a.m. @ Iowa Capitol, East 9th & Grand Avenue, Room 102

Noon-1:30 p.m. @ Embassy Suites, 101 East Locust Street, Grand Ballroom
