Thursday's Dallas County GOP Steak Fry Highlights to Include:

Auditor Vaudt's First Comments on State Worker Union Budget Agreement,

Senator Grassley's First-Hand Thoughts on Federal Health Reform &

Political Insights by GOP Chair Strawn & WHO's Mickelson

WAUKEE, IA-More than 100 local volunteers and political activists are expected at Thursday night's Dallas County Republican Fall Harvest Steak Fry & Pie Auction from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the Waukee High School Commons. This is the 34th year for the annual event that costs $25 per person or tables of eight for $150. RSVPs should be directed toward Publicity Chair Christi Taylor at ctaylor@iowaclinic.com.

"We expect a great night for folks of all stripes in Dallas County with steak & potatoes on the table and political red meat served up by our main speakers," remarked Finance Chair Pete Jeffries. "Auditor Vaudt will be making news with his first public remarks on the state union workers budget cut agreement, as well as we'll get a first-hand update on health reform from Senator Grassley - our latest confirmed speaker."

The four featured speakers, in order of appearance, include:

*Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Matt Strawn

*State Auditor Dave Vaudt

*WHO-AM Radio Talk Show Host Jan Mickelson

*Senator Chuck Grassley

All of the Republican gubernatorial candidates have been invited to mix and mingle with the crowd that's expected to top 100 people. And in between the featured speakers, Dallas County Republican officials will host their Annual Pie Auction of homemade treats and other prizes.
