U.S. Sen. Harkin: To visit Thomson Correctional Center tomorrow

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA), along with Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), Representative Phil Hare (D-IL) and Representative Bruce Braley (D-IA), will tour the Thomson Correctional Center tomorrow. They will be accompanied by Phil Carter, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Detainee Affairs, Harley Lampin, Director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons and Michael P. Randle, Director of the Illinois Department of Corrections.

After the tour, Harkin will have a lunch meeting with local Iowa officials and community members. Following the lunch meeting, Harkin will hold a media availability.
