On One Year Anniversary of Recovery Act: Representative Latham Needs to Answer for Hypocrisy

With tomorrow marking the one year anniversary of the Recovery act, Representative Tom Latham needs to answer for his hypocrisy in trying to claim credit for local projects he opposed.

“With this week marking the one year anniversary of the Recovery act, Representative Tom Latham needs to come clean with his constituents: will he come out in favor of canceling recovery funding in his district or will he continue taking credit for jobs and local projects he fought against?” asked Ryan Rudominer, National Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “It’s bad enough House Republicans including Representative Latham want to return to the failed Bush policies that created the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, but now Latham also thinks he can get away with trying to take credit for the economic benefits of the Recovery policies he voted against.”
